Section 179 at a Glance for 2023

2023 Deduction Limit = $1,160,000

To take the deduction for tax year 2023, the equipment must be financed or purchased and put into service between January 1, 2023, and the end of the day on December 31, 2023.

2023 Spending Cap on equipment purchases = $4,050,000

This is the maximum amount that can be spent on equipment before the Section 179 Deduction available to your company begins to be reduced on a dollar-for-dollar basis. This spending cap makes Section 179 a true “small business tax incentive” (because larger businesses that spend more than $3.78 million on equipment won’t get the deduction.)

Bonus Depreciation: 80% for 2023

Bonus Depreciation is generally taken after the Section 179 Spending Cap is reached. The Bonus Depreciation is available for both new and used equipment.

Premier Truck Rental is proud to announce its fifth year as the leading provider of work trucks throughout the nation. In an era when companies come and go, PTR has achieved a half decade of innovation and steady growth. The company commemorated their anniversary with many events held at their Fort Wayne, Indiana headquarters.

After selling off his previous equipment rental company in 2014, our owner Rob Troxel wasn’t ready to retire. He and his daughter, Adriene Horn, put their heads together to develop a business plan for a different type of rental company – one with smaller equipment. They learned that there was a need in the market for contractors to rent job site ready work trucks. Like up-fitted pickups and flatbeds that arrive with toolboxes, ladder racks, etc. already installed. Allowing the trucks to be immediately put to work upon delivery.

With three team members, and a handful of trucks, PTR launched in summer of 2014. Since then, the company has been blessed with tremendous growth. PTR currently has a nationwide footprint, over 100 employees, and works with many of the top construction and renewables contractors in the country.

To celebrate PTR rewarded all team members to an afternoon full of activities. Including food trucks from Fork & Fiddle and Whip ‘N Chill, an ice cream and dessert truck. Premier also had a great turnout for a team member corn hole tournament. To wrap up the festivities a fun game of Family Feud Live PTR Edition was held.

Premier’s continual upgrading of existing products and investment into its team members reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, powerful, and robust solutions for numerous industries. “Our success is due in part to the advanced capabilities and continuous improvement of our products,” states Vice President Adriene Horn. “It comes down to the team members who are here every day putting in all the hours to make sure our clients have the highest quality units.”

Premier Truck Rental has most innovative flatbed truck rentals in the rental industry. Depending on your needs on their job site, the flatbed rental provides more room for customization.  There’s a 9-Foot flatbed which becomes an open canvas for renters to add a variety of products from our aftermarket selection. Mount a welder, toolboxes, custom hitches, fuel storage tanks, and more!  Their versatility allows them to transform into mobile workshops.  Many of our 4×4 flatbeds include stake pockets for optional inserts.  Most rental flatbed trucks from Premier comes equipped with turnover gooseneck hitches. Our gooseneck hitches are discrete and can give you the ability to tow a gooseneck trailer with just one flip.

Also new to our rental fleet is our F750 4×2 flatbeds. Power and Durability

Our Platform Body Rentals are able to haul thousands of pounds of material and equipment for any job site. Why Buy WeatherTech’s from Premier Truck Rental?

Premier Truck Rental is more than just a national leader in pickup and work truck rentals. PTR also offers truck accessories. Today we are focusing on our WeatherTech floor liners.

WeatherTech makes some of the best automotive floor mats available in today’s market. WeatherTech products are designed using only the highest quality materials and manufactured right here in the United States. What is great about WeatherTech is that they offer four different levels of floor protection for all types of demands. Beginning with the industry changing FloorLiners and semi-custom All-Vehicle Mats, WeatherTech offers a product that will not only perfectly fit your vehicle, but also your budget.

We use WeatherTech mats in our rental fleet of thousands of trucks. Here is why you should buy your next set of WeatherTech floor mats from Premier Truck Rental.

CUSTOM FIT

WeatherTech laser measures every vehicle to protect the front, back and sides of your vehicle’s footwell. This custom fit provides your carpet the best protection, while maintaining a factory-like perfect fit.

WeatherTech mats are not universal. Unlike universal mats, custom floor mats and liners are built specific to your vehicles footwells. Because of the precise fit, they offer more coverage, meaning more protection. Able to handle any type of spill or debris, custom floor mats feature raised edges to contain liquid and keep from leaking onto the carpet.

PROTECTS RESALE VALUE

Milage, exterior condition, maintenance history, collision background and its interior condition influence the resale value of your vehicle. WeatherTech mats protect your interior floors keeping your vehicle’s floor stain free and looking new.

DURABLE MATERIAL

Made with a high-density tri-extruded material that is durable, and rigid in strength, while also providing traction to the carpet to keep it from moving once placed in the vehicle. The material is engineered to withstand all temperatures and keep from curling and cracking even in the coldest months.

ADVANCED SURFACE CHANNELS

WeatherTech mats feature a system of surface channels designed to carry fluids and debris to a lower holding pool to minimize fluid movement while driving.

It’s a Family Thing – From One Generation to the Next

Fort Wayne, Ind. — Operated by a father-daughter duo, Premier Truck Rental knows a thing or two about keeping it in the family. Back in 1971, Jim Lewis’s wife, Vicky, gifted him a Craftsman tool box for their first Christmas together.

As time went on Mr. Lewis became the very first hire by the now President of Premier Truck Rental, Rob Troxel. This Craftsman tool box has been through a lot of projects and was ultimately handed down to Mr. Lewis’s sons, Scott and Kevin. Both of whom were also employees of Mr. Troxel at one point.

The years came and went and it was time to hand the tool box down again to the next generation. Scott would pass on the cart to his son, Brody.  Now working for PTR, Brody uses the family heirloom daily. Bringing the cart back to where it all started.
