- Six overhead cranes to support upfitting and heavy duty work
- On-site parts warehouse for quick access to customized parts
- Dedicated wash bay and detail department to maintain fleet condition
- Body shop and production lanes for custom builds, reconditioning, and modifications
Origin Story
Customer-focused from the start.
Premier Truck Rental is a truck and equipment rental company founded in 2014 by a father-daughter duo Rob Troxel and Adriene Horn. Their vision? To provide customized truck and trailer solutions to utility contractors across the U.S.
After their family grew their first fleet rental company, NESCO, Rob Troxel and his daughter Adriene Horn founded a new venture: Premier Truck Rental.
Thanks to consistently rapid growth in both our fleet equipment and how we service it, we expanded our Fort Wayne headquarters in 2016, adding more service bays and more space for the growing PTR team to work.
Growth continued, and so did expansion at our Fort Wayne headquarters, this time with new wash bays and even more service capacity, keeping our rental fleet well maintained and providing faster turn times for rentals.
Inspired by customer input, PTR created the Candy Wagon Framer, a specialty utility truck with all of the accessories you could possibly need while working. These units are the powerhouses of truck rentals, transforming the way linemen work.
2022 brought a major HQ expansion, adding significant warehouse space, additional office area, expanded shop facilities, and a walking path for employee wellness.
Adding a second centrally located hub in Fort Worth, TX for servicing customers and increasing our production capabilities.
In 2024, we celebrated a decade of serving customers like you. Along the way, we’ve taken the valuable insights you’ve shared and invested them right back into the rentals that make keeping your fleet in top condition easier.
