POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that software and systems meet quality standards and function as expected. This role involves creating, implementing, and monitoring test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and working closely with developers and project teams to enhance product quality. The Quality Assurance Analyst will use their knowledge of testing methodologies and tools to identify defects and ensure that projects align with both technical specifications and business requirements.

Onsite in Fort Wayne, IN
COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements to ensure a clear understanding of the project scope and objectives.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Work closely with development, product management, and business analysts to understand the requirements and design of new features and enhancements.
- Conduct both manual testing and automated testing, where applicable, to verify system functionality and identify any issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and ensure they are integrated into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality standards are met.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by providing test scenarios, data, and issue support for business users.
- Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing results.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and test coverage.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration, performance testing).
- Experience with QA tools such as Selenium, Postman, Cypress, or similar.
- Proficiency in test case management tools, such as Azure DevOps.
- Understanding Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document and communicate issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
NICE TO HAVE
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential quality issues early in the project lifecycle.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation and querying.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, and SQL) is a plus for automation scripting.
