POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the organization. The Business Analyst will analyze and document business requirements, identify solutions, and support project implementations to improve business processes, efficiency, and technology use.

- Onsite in Fort Wayne, IN
COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and gather requirements.
- Document and analyze business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for IT teams.
Solution Design and Documentation
- Develop and propose solutions that meet business requirements, aligning with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design, document, and test solutions.
- Create detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
Project Support and Coordination
- Work closely with project managers to support project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, etc.) to ensure requirements are implemented accurately.
- Assist in change management activities to ensure smooth transitions for users.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Develop test cases and participate in system testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with end-users and gather feedback for further improvements.
- Troubleshoot issues during testing phases and collaborate on solutions.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Use data analysis techniques to evaluate the impact of IT solutions and identify further improvements.
- Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders based on performance metrics.
- Utilize reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication and Training
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Communicate project updates, timelines, and risks effectively to all stakeholders.
- Train users on new systems and provide support during and after implementation.
- Build and maintain a working relationship with business partners.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in business analysis or a related field within IT.
- Experience with requirements gathering documentation, and UAT.
- Strong understanding of business processes, systems analysis, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, One Plan, Azure DevOps).
- Hands-on experience working in cross-functional teams and on IT projects.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
NICE TO HAVE
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Technical knowledge in areas like software development, systems integration, and data management is a plus.
