POSITION SUMMARY

The Creative Marketing Intern supports PTR’s Marketing and Creative team by producing high-quality visual design work that strengthens the brand’s identity across digital, print, and environmental touchpoints. This role helps bring creative concepts to life through thoughtful design execution and contributes to maintaining consistency within PTR’s growing brand system.

The Creative Marketing Intern works closely with the Senior Brand Specialist to support campaigns, internal communications, recruiting initiatives, product visuals, and company-wide creative projects. This role is ideal for a designer who is skilled in hands-on production, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a strong, cohesive brand.

On-site in Ft Wayne, IN

COMPENSATION

This position offers competitive compensation, benchmarked to regional market standards. The role is an internship, so it does not include full-time company benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create high-quality graphics for digital ads, social content, print materials, presentations, trade shows, and internal initiatives.
  • Execute design concepts provided by senior creative leadership and contribute to visual development where needed.
  • Maintain brand consistency by applying PTR’s visual standards across all assets and materials.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of brand templates, iconography, and supporting design elements.
  • Prepare and package production-ready files for print and digital use.

Collaboration & Creative Support

  • Work closely with the Creative Director and Senior Brand Specialist on design execution, feedback revisions, and project follow-through.
  • Collaborate with the Videographer, Motion Designer, and Content team to ensure cohesive storytelling across campaigns.
  • Support cross-department design needs, including HR, Recruiting, Sales, Operations, and Leadership.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to projects and campaigns.

Brand Systems & Organization

  • Help maintain clean, organized file systems, asset libraries, and brand documentation.
  • Assist in updating and refining brand guidelines, templates, and design systems.
  • Support consistency and quality across all creative output.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, digital design, print design, and foundational conceptual skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with Canva or Figma.
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to work within established brand guidelines and contribute to evolving brand assets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of organization.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accept feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with motion graphics or collaboration with motion designers.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX or web design tools.
  • Illustration, photography, or other secondary creative skills.
  • Experience creating assets for paid media or advertising campaigns.
  • Background in industrial, rental, construction, or fleet industries.
