POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Intern will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, inventory management, and demand planning. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop essential skills and knowledge in the field of supply chain while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

LOCATION AND HOURS

On-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and populate a hierarchical data structure for product information.
Assist in product sourcing and obtaining quotes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
Conduct regular inventory analysis to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Assist in monitoring and analyzing inventory performance metrics such as stock turnover and fill rate.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements related to inventory management.
Assist in collecting and analyzing demand data to forecast future product requirements.
Support the creation of demand plans and monitor their accuracy.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain function.
Participate in cross-functional teams to implement process changes and optimize supply chain efficiency.
Assist in documenting and communicating new processes and procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
