3 Reasons Why You Should Keep Your Truck Rentals Clean

Cleanliness is incredibly important; allergy season is here, summer is right around the corner and COVID-19 is still spreading.

Knowing this, having a clean truck is a must. Avoiding damage due to roads, lowering your crew’s risk of contracting the coronavirus and minimizing the chance of spreading germs are all things you need to consider as you enter into the next season. Here are 3 reasons why we think it’s crucial to keep your truck rentals clean:

1.It Helps Keep Your Crew Healthy

We’re in the midst of a global pandemic and paired with allergy season, cleanliness is not something to take lightly. The more people that you directly interact with and surfaces that you touch, the higher chance that you are to get sick.

In order to keep yourself and your workers healthy, we recommend disinfecting your rentals and equipment before and after you work each day, minimizing the spread of bacteria. Disinfecting seats, steering wheels, keys, door handles and other frequently touched surfaces will be helpful in the long-run while working.

Another thing we recommend is socially distancing your crew whenever possible. Try to limit the number of people you have in each work truck and be cognizant of the number of people working in the same space.

Lastly, we recommend keeping cleaning supplies nearby and on-hand to quickly and easily wipe down surfaces and keep your hands clean during the workday to reduce the spread of germs and viruses. Be sure to have gloves, face masks and face shields available in order to keep your crew healthy and safe when working closely with one another.

At PTR, we’ve been actively working towards supporting you with keeping your crew healthy. We’ve increased our sanitation procedures and disinfectant policies, as well as include personal hand sanitizers in each truck for your crew to use while on the job.

2. Clean Exteriors Extend the Longevity of the Truck

Not only is keeping the interior of your truck rentals important, but maintaining a clean exterior is important to keep the truck staying nicer longer.

With road construction starting up, being mindful of potholes and other dirt/debris on the road is important to protect your tires and vehicles. It’s incredibly important to continually wash and clean your truck due to the debris and dirt that can get on your truck.

3. Taking Care of the Interior Keeps the Truck Nicer For a Longer Period of Time

When you take care of the interior of your rentals, it keeps them looking newer for longer. You’ll prevent excess wear and tear, reducing the chances that dust, dirt and other debris will wear away other interior surfaces.

At PTR, we regularly detail each of our trucks, making sure that they pass strict quality inspections before going out on rent and hitting your jobsite. When you purchase your trucks, we suggest regularly detailing the trucks to keep them staying nice and new.

In addition to this, when you take care of the inside of your units, you’ll prevent health issues due to poor air quality when your vehicle is covered in dirt and dust. The more intentional you are with cleaning your truck rentals, the longer they will last and maintain their value.

Keeping your crew healthy and truck clean are essential in the conditions that we are working in. By regularly washing your truck, cleaning the interior and disinfecting surfaces, you’ll keep your guys working and avoiding sickness.
